Astronomy Club

We are pleased to announce our Astronomy Club.  The club will be student driven with support from staff.  We envision the club meeting weekly with the aim of providing students the opportunity to outreach with the community, learn more about space, and attain the practical skills needed to make real observations, weather permitting.  The school currently has six telescopes to observe a variety of celestial bodies.  One or two field trips to local institutions may also be offered.

In addition, we are hoping to have monthly Star Parties as a Fernwood community event.

Our club meets on Thursday’s at Lunch in Room 206.  For more information contact our Mr. Geehan.

For Health and Safety reasons, students will be required to fill out a consent form.
