Night of the Notables - An evening of research and inquiry

Please join us on the evening of January 22nd from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Vic High to celebrate the inquiry and research projects prepared by our Grade 9 and 10 French Immersion Sciences Humaines students and our Grade 11 and 12 French Language Arts students. This event will be held in the Multipurpose Room located on the First Floor.

June2nd Recognition Ceremony at UVic(Farquhar Auditorium) 6:30pm - 9pm
Tickets,$8.50 each, open May 4th - All tickets will be purchased directly through UVIc TicketCentre. Each grade 12 student can purchase up to 4 tickets to start. Onceeveryone has a chance to purchase these, we will open it up to more.
Caregiversand students will be able to log in using the student’s district email addressto select seats. Please note, all students will be uploaded into UVic’s Ticketsystem using their district email. They will be required to verify their emailaddress and set a password. We really encourage this process to be completedprior to the ticket sale date.
Guestsrequiring accessible seating can contact the UVic Ticket Centre directly tobook tickets. There are seats held specifically for this purpose.
Rehearsal(8:45am - 12:00pm) - Grads are required to attend a rehearsal, on time, at the FarquharAuditorium the morning of the Recognition Ceremony. The ceremony requires agreat deal of organization and coordination, and as such, participation is mandatory.Grads do not need to wear their regalia for the rehearsal. Families are asked to coordinate thetransportation of their grad to and from UVic. Note, regalia will bedistributed to grads in the days leading up the event.
Ceremony - Grads are asked to be atthe auditorium no later than 5:45pm, in their regalia, and gather at the backon the grassy knoll. Families are asked to take their seats inside by 6:15pmand the ceremony is set to begin at 6:30pm. The ceremony is estimated to take 21/2 hours.

This year’s Dinner/Dance will be held at the beautiful Delta Hotel,located on the waterfront of downtown Victoria. Dinner will feature a buffetmeal, complete with refreshments and desserts. This formal event is an amazingopportunity for Grads to celebrate their accomplishments with their friends.
Guests- Those grads wishing toinvite a guest are asked to complete the Guest Request form, available May 9th,and submit it to the office by May 29th. The guest policy will be thesame as the Winter Formal. Requests will be date stamped upon submission.Please know that the venue has a capacity limit. Based on the number of gradsattending, we may or may not have room for guests. Our ability to includeguests will be known mid-May. We will notify grads if/when their request hasbeen approved and a guest ticket will then be available for purchase throughSchoolCash Online.
- Guests must be 18 or younger atthe time of the event. Photo ID confirming age will be required.
- Should a guest not be attending ahigh school, a meeting with admin must take place (grad, guest, guest familyand admin) prior to approval being granted.
- This is a grad event and guestsshould have a strong connection to their sponsor and the Vic High grad class.Grads are asked NOT to sponsor anyone unless they meet this criteria. Thisevent is not appropriate for younger students who are not well connected totheir sponsor and/or the grad class.
Please know that we want graduation tobe as inclusive as possible and are conscious of the financial burden connectedto these events.
