GRADS

All grade 12 students and students planning to graduate this year have a mandatory meeting this Thursday at 9:00am in the auditorium to discuss and start your Career Life Connections course. Attendance will be taken.

Did you know that over 80 books in our library have a movie version?  Check out the “From Shelf to Screen display”.  In addition, over 90 new features are now available in the library’s Bookflix section.  There is a good pick for everyone at this school!

Volunteering

Central Middle School needs responsible, reliable volunteers to help with their upcoming Book Fair on October 9 and 10 next week. Please submit your name and contact information by email to Ms. O’Hara (sohara@sd61.bc.ca) if you can help. These are after school and early evening volunteer opportunities.

Rotary International

There are a number of Rotary programs for students interested in travel, living in another country, learning new languages and cultures. Check out their many programs. See the Study Abroad poster on the bulletin board outside the Career Centre.

Employment with Elections Canada

Elections Canada still needs students 16 and older to work during the upcoming Federal election. Apply online at the Elections Canada website.
