It’s Back – This Wednesday will be Salad Day at Lunch.-  Come and get some delicious fresh salad- grown right here in our Vic High Garden- More details on the posters mounted around the school.  $2 for salad and bread, less if you bring your own plate and cutlery.

Attention Grads: It’s the first day of Grad Spirit Week! Today is tacky tourist day. If you dressed up today, come down to the foyer at lunch for a grad photo. Remember, tomorrow is Twin Day.

Thanks to Jonathon Argue for producing Improv LightBox.  This performance includes both the Vic High Platform 61 dancers and Vic High SHARKS improv Club this  Wednesday, Oct 9th at the Metro Studio Theatre, 1411 Quadra @ 8pm.  Tickets: $12 for students.  Please come out and support your Performing Arts Department.

If you have an extra hour or two  a week to spare and would like to help your fellow students succeed in their classes, there is a meeting Tuesday October 8th in the Career Center at lunch. When you sign up to be a Peer Tutor you will  receive 4 credits as well as volunteer experience that can be used for a variety of programs.


Athletic Leadership meeting is Tuesday at lunch in the Roper Gym. All students must attend.

Congratulations to our senior girls’ volleyball team who tied for 7th place in the Camosun tournament this weekend! A reminder to all players that we will be meeting in room 416 after school today.

Central Middle School needs responsible, reliable volunteers to help with their upcoming Book Fair on October 9 and 10. These are after school and early evening volunteer opportunities. See Ms. O’Hara for details.

James Bay Community School needs volunteers to help with their annual Monster Bash — October 25th, 6-9 PM.


Take a tour of Victoria Flying Club next Thursday, October 17, 6 to 8:30 pm. and find out about careers in aviation, including apprenticeships with Viking Air.  Everyone is welcome — ENTRY IS FREE FOR STUDENTS.  Details in the Career Centre.
