Did you know that over 80 books in our library have a movie version?  Check out the “From Shelf to Screen display”.  In addition, over 90 new features are now available in the library’s Bookflix section.  There is a good pick for everyone at this school!

Dance Club 209 is bringing back Alumna Rama Hamden to present a workshop in Middle Eastern Belly Dance–next Tuesday at lunch in Studio 209.  Belly dance belts will be provided.  Faculty members consider joining us for some hip and sassy movements.

If you have an extra hour or two  a week to spare and would like to help your fellow students succeed in their classes, there is a meeting Tuesday October 8th in the Career Center at lunch. When you sign up to be a Peer Tutor you will  receive 4 credits as well as volunteer experience that can be used for a variety of programs.



Central Middle School needs responsible, reliable volunteers to help with their upcoming Book Fair on October 9 and 10. These are after school and early evening volunteer opportunities. See Ms. O’Hara for details.

James Bay Community School needs volunteers to help with their annual Monster Bash — October 25th, 6-9 PM.

Going into Engineering? if you are a Grade 12 student who plans to pursue a career in Engineering, please see Ms. O’Hara about the UBC Future Leaders meeting at UBC on November 2.
