Thursday, November 26, 2009

The Canadian Universities Event (CUE) will be held at Oak Bay Secondary School on November 26th.  Representatives from over 35 Canadian universities will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. This is a great opportunity for Grade 11 and 12 students, and their parents, to explore post-secondary options.

Bus transportation has been arranged for students who sign-up for this event. Students will depart from Vic High at 9:45 a.m. and return by 11:45 a.m. Space is limited, so interested students are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible in the Career Centre, Room 306.

Vic High's Student Newspaper

Welcome to the Vic High Voice: the freshest look at student thought. This paper is not only designed to express student opinion, but it gives many the opportunity to develop their talents.

Currently, a wide range of unique individuals are working on this project. Being the first student newspaper in five years, it gives students a say in their own individual way.

Some who are involved have amazing artistic ability; ranging from poetry to photography. Others have a journalistic flaire where they can take an issue and give it new life. Still many have a technological or analytical edge. They can design a website or edit columns in a flash.

This creative representation of the student body is just one of the many reasons why this newspaper is such a success.

If you want to be amazed at what vision and hardwork can accomplish, look no further than The Vic High Voice.

Extra! Extra!  Read the April Edition.
